Over the eleven years since we began publishing CONCRETE magazine, we have built a large and loyal following. Our readers tend to be young males, ages 15-35.
We have found we cross many barriers other magazines do not including age, sex, ethnic and social. There is also a large number of college students who read Concrete. We distribute on many college and university campuses in middle Tennessee.
Another large percentage of our readership is high school students. These young adults have a significant income and wield increasing influence on larger household purchases. Magazines appeal to young adults, 80% of them read magazines. In addition, marketing studies show young people trust magazine advertising more than any other media. In fact magazines influence more than 28% of their purchases.
No other print media in Nashville is reaching our audience. We have created a product that truly reaches young, urban adults. We watch the trends in youth culture and give young Nashvillians what they want to read about. Concrete features both national and local celebrities. The local faces we feature in CONCRETE magazine, become our main supporters and those who carry the message to others.
We have people in every corner of greater Nashville showing others our magazine every issue we print. All of these factors add up to make Concrete Magazine an incredible advertising vehicle. We reach teens and twenty-somethings like no one else in Nashville. Our product is the conversation starter and trend setter.
“Why a mini magazine? Why not do a big magazine?” We never hear those questions from young people. Just like you never hear, “Why not a big cell phone?” Today’s youth see smaller as better. We pack a full size magazine in a small package. Young people love it for it’s size, but that’s only half of why it works so well. Because of our size we can go to locations other magazines can not.
Concrete is in places like barber shops, clothing stores, car stereo and rim shops, college dorms and restaurants. It is also great for street team/hand-to-hand distribution. We send our street team to events where they instruct patrons to throw Concrete Magazine in their purse or back pocket. The size ensures it gets home with that person. Simply put, we go where our reader is.
Our content is the other reason Concrete Magazine is so well received. We feature people and activities no one else does, but is in high demand with young consumers. We are the only print media that consistently covers rap/hip-hop music, DJs, hip-hop producers and taste makers. We have a nice mix of local, regional and national editorial. More than anything, we listen to our readers and gather content based on their tastes.
Not only do we distribute ten thousand physical copies in Nashville and surrounding counties but we have also made sure to stay current with today’s digital world. Concrete has established a strong online presence. Now our advertisers get the best of both worlds, from physical hand to hand distribution to online promotion.
When advertising with Concrete we make sure you are seen by the masses and build extreme awareness.
We are a FREE magazine, if our advertisers do not see results we can not put out another issue. That’s why we work so hard for the people who believe in our product.
